ProfileScan - The ProfileScan Server (http://www.isrec.isb-sib.ch/software/PFSCAN_form.html) uses a program called pfscan to compare a protein sequence to current profile databases that contain domain/motif profiles of different protein families. The databases that are searched are prosite profiles, pfam-A, gribskov, and prosite pattern. More information about ProfileScan can be reached from the server page listed above. This server is available from ISREC (Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research).
